Ok so i've been looking at a-arms and i'm thinking +3 so i've almost 50" on my 400ex and i've got 450r front shocks. Here r my options http://www.amstarmanufacturing.com/MX-ProA-Arms.html American star or http://cp20.heritagewebdesign.com/~hnme33/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18&products_id=23 full flight.. (also question about the full flight they have CHROMOLY and DOM what is the difference)? So those r the onces that i like best but i would have houser on there but they don't make stock travel +3 i don't think. So feel free to tell me other good brands also.

Regardless of what brand you choose if your gonna go +3, I would get +3 and +1 up, Or use a slightly longer swingarm.

Obviously your not building a tight trail riding quad so going a lil bit longer also will help out the overall geometry of the atv.

if money isnt a bigg issue then Id buy a nice set of lonestars or something cool like these.

you can get them cheaper on ebay fyi with free shipping and sales tax. +3 is retarded unless your die hard mx. get +2 so you can do mx with one set of wheels and trails with 4:1 offset rims

Neither are spectacular brands. I like houser, lonestar, JD performance, GT Thunder and roll design. You get what you pay for.

Of importance is a ball joint design where you can move the dang ball joint without taking it off the spindle!

Thanks for the input guys and i've desided that i don't want +3 I think i'll go with a higher quality +2 a-arm http://www.houser-racing.com/SPD/suzuki-ltr-450-030108---+2--wide-a-arms--regular-travel--bushing-style--plus-slicast-honda--4500000-1108502234.jsp Like these housers. I'm getting those same arms, but in +1s. Houser's a great company, well worth the money.

Do not get full flight lol. They suck so bad. I'd go houser or GT Thunder has the best deal on eBay. These are what I have and the quality of these arms is awesome..

400$ is unbeatable IMO. GTT is a trusted brand on this site

Curious, did you ever measure your frontend width with the new arms? Reason I ask is I measured my stock front with 22x7x10s razr II and I got about 43.5 inches.

Best way to do it btw is measure the front off the quad as best you can. Then take 2 cans of soda and put them touching the tires, then sit on the quad and use the cans as measurements. This way you can tell how wide it gets when you sit on it.

i know my quad with my +1+2's sat right around 47 1/2" - 48" When i sat on it, it was closer to 48". We measured different things for hours one day trying to figure out my specs.

Gotta remember with wider a arms it makes your quad set lower, which is gonna widen it a little more also since it will make the shocks a little softer, then add your body weight and its gonna widen it out just a hair more.

I went through some TIGHT trails on mine and didnt really have too much problems.

The worst part is i didnt have a steering stabilizer so it about broke my wrists finding out where i could and couldnt fit.

I have +2 JD performance arms for over 10 yrs.....excellent, an they have better ones now with bearings. I don't MX anymore so it went back to stock arms for the tight woods trails....my other quad has +1 Roll Design arms an I like them for all round, race or trails, an I got them them for under 500.00 off ebay!!! Compared to about 1500.00 new.

I just messaged the ebay store of the ccp stabilizers and hes not listing them because hes leaving for vacation or something. but now he has two different ones for the 400ex one with two adjusters one for the turning and one for the straight and the other with just one adjustment for the whole turning range if you know what i mean.. but its 50 more for the dule adjustment model.

In some cases they need to make the metal first I think lol:)

I think Houser's customer service is great. If you order a custom color, it takes a little longer depending on current demand for that color. However, if you end up waiting too long, they run your stuff through anyways. I prefer Houser's A-arms. I like the SLICAST setup; much easier and faster to tune than the threaded heims. They also understand suspension geometry much better than many of the cheaper alternatives, so you are getting a better product.

I've got Lonestar +2 A-Arms on mine. Everything Lonestar on my quad has proved indestructible, even the original powdercoating job from 12 years ago hasn't scratched or dulled a bit.

I know Houser is really good though. I don't think they make stock travel but has anyone looked at Walsh Craft lately? Their stuff is incredible from what I've heard.

I think it may be a newer product cuz i didn't think they made regular travel before until I saw these.
