Odd old nerf bars / cheap dimple die

Hey guys. Just playing around with an old set of nerfs I picked up a few years back. I know I've seen an ad for these in the old magazines somewhere, but the manufacturer eludes me right now...?? I think they are a tad light for rigorous use, but am wasting time elbow greasing them anyway. I hole sawed them for drainage, and figured dimples would stiffen them a little.
I did some shopping for a dimple die set the other day, but after seeing the "ouch" price tags, came up with this low buck set up. I don't use these 3/4 drive sockets much but they do come in handy for odd stuff like this. The 1 & 13/16 socket works perfect when pressed inside the 2 inch socket. Pictures are pretty self explanatory. Just though I'd share for giggles. I might actually use these nerfs for play riding down the road on a future build...??

That's sweet! I never thought of using a couple sockets... Interesting..

Kinda look like PRM nerfs, but not sure.

That's kind of redneck, but I like it. Definitely my style.... :bandit: It's crazy the stuff you think of when you're bored. I think everyone is having a little spring fever these days.
