Hey guys I stopped at our local car lot this evening to look at a duramax that had caught my eye. Got a little info on the truck; it was there personal truck, 130k, just had new tires put on, just installed efi live, mbrp exhaust, gauges, ect. Truck is very clean and had been completely stock untill about 3 weeks ago when they added the mods. It's also just had the injectors replaced. I know these things are known for eating them, so should I be worried with them just being replaced? There asking 16,500 for it....

What year/model engine? Get a Carfax to. My Dad is a State Farm Agent and says that is one of the best things you can possibly do.

01/02/03 are the big injector eaters. 04 isn't as bad but it still happens. 04.5 and up you're in the clear.

Personally i would want proof the injectors were just put in. ANd i would question why they would have modded it 3 weeks ago when they were gonna sell it. I dont trust car salesman

Your not given us much info. Is it 4x4, ext cab? If so then thats not a bad price.

good luck

The LB7 engines had issues with Injectors. There was a 7 year 200,000 mile warranty to have them replaced (I believe).

Check this Reference Index out. All the info you could think/want.

They're still great trucks, just plan on injectors roughly every 100k. If the price is right I'd buy it.

i can't remember what it was off the top of my head but if you email the guys at diesel power magazine they ran on article on a fix for the injector issues. however i would be wary of that truck because that dealership is straight up lieing to you about those mods being 3 weeks old and because of that i doubt it was owned and maintained by them for very long...

X2 I bet they told you an old grampa bought it new and only drove it to the supermarket and back. :)
