I just picked up a set 22" rear tire and rim combo off the internet for $50. They were on a 450r and I was wondering what size fronts you guys would run on this.

Definitely 23" if you can and no less than 22". If you go to a 21 you will have some odd gearing to play with and it'll be low in the front unless you are talking about sand paddles, then I think you'll be o.k .with whatever.

PERSONALLY I'D SELL THE TIRES KEEP THE RIMS AND FIND A SET OF 20" REARS, IF YOU RIDE HARD THOSE 22'S ROLL HARD IN THE CORNERS, BUT IF YOU LIKE THEM 23'SON THE FRT.

I'd much rather have 20 in the rear but I got them for next to nothing and hate to waste two almost new tires. Thanks for the input.

Stock 250R fronts are 22-7-10's and rears are 20-10-9's. So I would recommend sticking with the 1"~2" taller in the front.

I have 23's on the front and 22's on the rear for when I ride rocks. Worked great out in Moab this past October. Wouldn't think that a mear 1" more ground clearance would make that great of a difference, but it did!

I ride mostly technical trails, but when I do head for the track or trails that are open and fast, I go back to the stock size for better cornering.
