Burns310r

So before i get started, I'm going to give a little background.

This XC build is a result of my addiction to the 250r and a lot of spare parts building my Laeger Narrow CR500 link +4 LT 350R. I will do a complete build thread this spring when it gets nice out and i can take some final pics of it.

The XC quad started with all stock components but soon got upgraded to a Laeger swing arm/Axis full adjust rear when the Laeger narrow frame build started. The front suspension was stock 86 and other than a mild built 310 top end with fmf fatty pipe, was relatively stock. Pic below is it after i first assembled the frame. and stock suspension.

After these pics i installed my lightly built motor 310cc, Boysen rad valve, 34mm stock carb, FMF fatty pipe motor in and put some old MX shoes on it to use as a practice bike for MX and to start XC with. Pics below show it as it was for my first XC race.

Well late last fall i did my first XC Race with the stock front suspension and a cable clutch mind you, and had a blast. Running the B class because it was my first race, I caught the A class on the first lap. The lack of a skid plate took me out of the race on Lap 2. But i was hooked, it doesn't have the prestige of MX, or the Adrenalin rush, but it offered a longer ride, and a sort of excitement that was different.
So this winter I decided it was time to make a few upgrades. Swing arm skid plate is #1... period. I also bought a Magura hydro clutch (which i run on my MX bike and love) to help with all the clutching in the tight woods. I also purchased a 400ex +2 front end and 450r OEM shocks. Here is the progress of the front end so far, also notice the 3:2 OEM rims mounted. The a-arms are shock limited, not even close to the limit of the joints.

I will add to this build as the bike comes along further. I hope you enjoy. <
