View Full Version : will a 2002 400ex motor work in a 2005 400ex frame?

Anybody know if I can put a motor from a 2002 400ex and put it in a 2005 400ex frame with no modifications. will the wiring harness work with even though th '05 has reverse.

I believe the harness pins are different, but it should plug in. You may have to rewire the harness tho. You may also have to wire the reverse wires together to foll it into not having reverse.
