Thoughts on it all now that this year's are over?
I'm really happy how Snomo freestyle went, and Best trick as well. As much as I like the Moore's, they just can't compete with a frontflip, that was absolutely insane! I'm starting to wonder how many of those tricks will be brought into the quad scene before too long.
I really only watched the sleds and the snowboard events but the only complaints I have are all the love for Shawn White. I mean, he's really great and has a lot of talent, and obviously has earned all of his credentials, but I don't think his first run (94) should have been scored so high, and the perfect score on the victory run was more of a congratulations than a real judged run, I felt. Ioury was the only guy who could compete with him, but I thought his final run was altogether much better than Shawn's 94. I don't know, maybe I'm just sick of the guy....
Oh and of course, I thought it was really great how much they incorporated the dedication to Sarah Burke throughout the whole event as well.
