450r not starting, gets gas timed correctly

So I'm trying to get this started. It gets fuel, carb shoots in a squirt if you pump it. Sparkplug has good fire. Cam lobes face aft when T is up and line is in notch. Cam gear lines up with cam housing marks.

What's next? I can't believe that I need to pull start it. That seems in reasonable to me. It won't even fire a little. Any hints on what to try next?

Search turned up timing, fuel, and pull start.

Thanks in advance, if more info is needed let me know. But to me it seems like this should fire up and run

Oh, I purchased a motor from someone on the site. 2004 trx 450r

try to pull it and see if it will start. If it does then more than likely your valves or decompressor need adjusted. If it's loosing any compression you can't kick it fast enough to start it
