Paypal question

I am looking at a car on craigslist and the guy wants a deposit thru paypal. Will i get my money back if it turns out to be a scam?

Possibly. Make sure you talk to the guy and trust him before doing it. I know that some hackers can take your pay pal and drain all the money out of your account.

Being that he is giving you his pay pal to pay him it sounds fairly safe.

Ya and I have talked to the guy on the phone a couple times. It seems legit.

If you haven't even seen the car in person, no. If you do make sure you pay with a credit card. That way you can reverse the payment through your credit card company if need be.

Paypal has a buyer protection program, if it turns out to be a scam they will refund you the money. You have to file a claim and all that nonsense, and it takes sometimes up to a month to get your money back since paypal will look at all sides of the case.
