Hello , Like everyone else I am on a tight budget. I have up and down slop in my rear axle. I am buying new bearings but is the carrier bad as well? what else should I buy since I am taking it apart?

Thanks guys and gals.

Buy this or the Lonestar.. They are called dual row bearings and you wont replace them for a long time.. this one is also greaseable.. Its one of the best buys for the 400ex

Bearings probably are the only thing bad. good news is they cost about 30-50 bucks, bad news is it sucks removing and installing them. Good news is 100 bucks buys you an entire carrier with bearings on ebay.

Onthe other hand you might be able to save yourself some bucks buying the bearings at an autoparts supply using the numbers on the seals and bearings.
