Axle isn't staying tight

I recently put new axle bearings in my lonestar carrier. When I went to put it back together it took ever single thread on the adjuster nut just to tighten it. It worked good for a little while, but now it is really loose again, and I dont think I can adjust it any more. Any idea's why this is? I am still running a standard 300ex axle too.

Did you put double row bearing in your carrier? Lonestar are usually dual row bearing ( not OEM) they are wider than the stock ones.

Verify that and feel free to ask more question. Your old bearing sould be 20mm wide, as where the stock one ( from the Honda dealer) are 12mm.

Yes, they are dual row. They are correct for the carrier...
