stage 2 or stage 3

i have a 2002 400ex i am going to put a 440 kit in it. im also looking at cams what would be better for it a stage 2 or stage 3?

Go stage two because stage three is made for stroker and highly modded motors and need other head work.. I have the stage two and thats just what i've heard.

what sorta riding and motor work? bore means somthing but compression / porting play a bit too.

it has a jet kit already i want something that i can go trail riding and just something to play with mostly but i want a little more power

If it's a 440 big bore with less than 12:1 compression, I'd recommend a stg 2.
