lol, of course honda's coming out with a new quad and so is every other quad company most likely.:huh Maybe if they keep this up long enough honda may just release one. Seriously though I was at the dealer today and I guess a honda rep was asking them a bunch of questions and said they would pleasantly be surprised this summer.:huh It better not be a 650.:grr I dunno how reliable this information is. Seriously guys, I've heard the same thing. I don't want to compromise my source but this is what I'm being told. It's going to be in the 400-650cc range and will have an aluminum piston. It's going to have a frame, an axle, 4 rubber tires and a set of handlebars on it. Suspension travel was also estimated to be somewhere in the range of 7"-12". Wait til you see the a-arms, it has a set of those too:eek2:

I would like to see either a 650 or 450, either one would be awesome, I would almost prefer the 650 though.

Thats news to my ears. Thanks for your input.

I cant hold back anymore. I gotta say I read alot of bashing on here pointed towards "Dirtwheels."

Some of you think the editors of Dirtwheels print something out just to make a story? You gotta be kidding me! Ive been getting the mag for four years now and have never read anything that was false.

So, grow up! LOL

I'll tell ya something false. A Z400 beating a cannondale, predator, raptor, and banshee in a shootout. That is what is false.

Easiest to ride? Aren't we talking about "high performance" machines? It should be about best power, handling, suspension. I just read their sport bike buyers guide and their cons for the pred., dale., and ex were no reverse. I mean, come on, I have never been on a ride and thought to myself, "reverse would be nice." o-well, just my opinion.

Yea, really! I never saw someone buy a CR250r and say "I bought this bike because it is so easy to ride!" Performance is supposed to make the adreniline pump.:D

yes , but what i want to know is the new honda going to be a disapointment , or another 400ex type? by that i mean the ex is down on power compared to all theese " new " generation 4-strokes , but for several years it was the quad to TRY to beat. and with mods it can still be competitive. will the new honda be able to be a miracle and sweep the quad world like the 400ex did? THATS what i am hoping for. thats what every body said about a " NEW " honda for years when the 250r was still in production , and it took forever!!but now i am still waiting to see what comes out of this. i will be verry disapointed if it is a NEW whimp!!!this time i want a REAL replacement for the 250r , or at least a viable option!!! right now to REALLY race you need a 250r , cannondale or a lot of money for mods!! i am hoping for a crf450r type motor , as it has been said they are not using that motor.

ill prolly get nailed for sayin this because it is a honda site....but how long are you guys gonna hope... im serious....some of you have caught the drift and bought other quads like dales, raptors and the even better predator:D , or put 2x as much $ into a slow 400ex and still lag behind the competition and mod it till its not even reliable. but some of you need to give it up until.....one day....honda does release a quad and you see pics and data on it...not no 700 twin turbo b/s of April fools. the 400 was top of the line....3 years ago, and the legendary 250r placed 4th in the baja 1000 a few weeks ago,.....but give it up and go buy a Fast quad worth having. thats what i did, and i hate to say it, but honda got kicked, id take 1 predator over 2 400's. if you sit there and think "well maybe next week, honda will come out with a new one" .....well that may be so,...but then couldnt yamaha release the soon to be 426?.....or a new dale,............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................?????

Im getting tired of what these magazines are saying. I dont believe them anymore. In the latest ATV Sport there was that big high performance shootout and im not sure if anyone else noticed it but stuff like the z400 and kfx400 were different. They said one was faster than the other and also they said something about the suspension travel being different between the two. I thought that they were the same thing. I think that the companies pay the magazines for their brand to win the shootouts and stuff.

Also who really cares that much about a new honda sport quad, sure it would be nice but the 400ex is good enough theres many modifications you can make to them.

Id also like to say that its the rider not the machine. Everybody thinks that because someones better than them its because of their machine. It might be so sometimes but think of it this way you put a beginner on Tim Farrs quad and put Tim Farr on a stock 300ex who do you think is going to win? Its not how good the machine is its wether or not your good or you suck. At least thats what I think.

I agree!!! Despite what magazines say, the 400ex is more than capable of being competitive with any production quad.Where's the rest of these machines when a 400ex took overall wins in GNCC's last year's Pro Production class?:D

yes those non-believers are right! its not like a trx400ex came in second in baja1000 , beaten only by another honda , followed by a nother honda , 4 out of the first 5 is better than i`ve heard any other companies!!!!in fact if i remember correctly , 8 of the first 10 quads across the finish line were honda`s!!!! those other quads must be a LOT better!!
