The video is sweet! Ill post a pic of my truck when I get home but its nowhere near as cool as yours. Its a 94 chevy with a 4 inch static drop and 18's and completely red like yours except the front bumper. Id like to bag it next year if I get a beater.

Ahaha no purpose? I can do anything else a 2wd can do. It gets me from point a to b, i pull trailors, but i can load stuff into my bed alot easier than you.

Most people just cant get it through their heads that lowered trucks can be just as useful as a stock truck.
1. Easier to put stuff in.
2. Can still pull the same stuff if static dropped or when aired up.
3. In some cases, can haul heavier loads in the bed with air suspension.

When was the last time a lifted truck actually helped anything (unless doing some serious offroading). And Im not hating on lifted trucks because they look great but...
1. Make high speed driving less enjoyable because its less stable.
2. Is there any EASY way to lift a quad or dirtbike over your head just to put it in the back of your truck.
3. Can be harder to drive in packed areas and see around the vehicle.

I know each has their pros and cons but lowering trucks dosent "destroy" a "useful" truck.

Sorry but I don't see a lowered truck towing my goose neck or enclosed at all. High speed driving is for cars, however trucks can be quick. Trying to make a truck handle is ridiculous. I don't have any trouble seeing in a parking lot. Not to mention you aren't exposed to the weather we see up here. I don't think your front bumper would make a very good plow. Nothing against the truck, looks good, but it's hard to make the argument that a lowered truck is more beneficial.

im gonna do a 2" drop on my 2wd silverado and put a 383 in it eventually but for snow and mud ive got my blazer. i was half debating doing a sas swap on my truck but eh for the effort ill just make it a sweet street truck that can still work

Nothing wrong with air bags, they work very well. But making it drag the ground is ridiculous. Same with jacking it up in the air. These trucks were designed in a specific way and I doubt many have the knowledge or the ability to make it better then the original design.

Unless the air bags can lift the truck up to the original height, it would never go where me and my stock truck can go. It just aint gonna happen.
Sure you can drive it down a paved road and even pull some small trailers with it but to try and pull full sized trailers loaded to there limit at hi way speeds can't be safe.

Trucks are expensive and if I was going to spend that much money on a truck that won’t do what it was designed for, then someone should shoot me.
I would rather get something that could really haul *** and handle better then any truck can.

In 94 I bought a brand new custom truck that was a conversion and had a lowering kit on it. I got the truck with over $15,000.00 worth of upgrades on it and it was a leftover so I actually paid less for it then a 95 plane stock truck.
The first time I tried to haul something it would bottom out and road like crap.
I put the suspension back like it was stock and it’s been a trailer pullin, load haulin beast ever since.

Mine goes up to stock height. Im sure most the trucks that are built couldnt go up to there stock height. And most trucks that are built bagged probaly wernt made to pull trailors. Ive had a lifted truck also... I respect any kind of truck

jzexrider

Heres mine. 4 inch drop, no bottoming out when loaded or with trailer.

slightlybent47

Your truck means you can do what you want. My point is you wouldn’t buy a race quad with a good suspension and lower it till it almost drags the ground and then go out and try to race a mx race with it, would you?

The suspension has a limited travel range and if you drop it down or lift it up you loose the travel range of that suspension.
Those air bags aren’t cheap ether, plus the cost of the truck, you could have nice car.

That is a nice looking truck but not when it’s dragging the ground.
Trucks were made for truckers.

I laugh every time I see a nice truck dragging it belly as it goes down the road and laugh even harder when I see it bouncing because it has no travel.

Thats not too bad with just a drop kit on the rear. but it still wont carry the weight as it did stock.

It’s very slow these days. Attendance is way down and entries are small in every class.
Were still trying to hang in there though.

Though if I were in the market for a nice car that was fast and had some class I would look very hard at the STSV. That’s a sweet looking ride, and it ain’t yo grandma’s Cadillac! 556 HP in a luxury coop with every bell and whistle on it.

85and93, truck looks sick. Really like the OEM GMC 20's on it. IMO makes the truck look 1,000% better than some crappy chrome aftermarket wheels.
