any decent cheap motor swaps?

my buddy has an 01 trx90 complete roller and I'm wondering if there's any good options far as motors go for one of these? he said pitbike motors are drop in. but I'm not so sure of that lol. also would like my son to have reverse and maybe a clutch as I'd like him to learn clutch.

look at the Lifan engines, the 125 is supposed to be a drop in and you can get them with a clutch or semi auto, I have been looking at them on e-bay with carb for arouind $200, I could by 2 Lifan 125 engines with carbs for less than it would cost to modify my 90 into a 125,
