hello folks ... i've been tossing around the idea of placing another set of lights on my 400 EX ... the stock headlight throws decent light but i was wondering what brand name i can look into that wouldn't be hard on the wallet ... any thoughts ?

Some 35w cheapos from walmart might work. Im gonna get me some rigid dually leds but they are 100 a pop.

The most you can run with the stock lights on is about 45W.

Have you tried or thought about putting in HIDs? They make an ENORMOUS difference. Here's a how-to thread http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=449531
There's a couple before and after pics in there that should instantly change your mind.

I recently fabbed a bracket to my steerer & put on a pair of 4" HIDs then took out the factory bug eyes trimmed off some plastic & fabbed up a hood from maier, it puts out more light than most cars! Ill post a few pics this weekend. Btw, the hids were from eagle eye ( i took them off my defender cause i never used them). The cost me about $155 each from my local off road shop.
