help!!! no spark

im lookin to buy this 86. it has a no spark condition. i brought it in the shop, tested everything(coil, stator). i got juice coming from the stator and pluse- (green/ yellow) goes into the cdi, but nothing coming outta the cdi on the blk/yellow goin to the coil. i tried switching the cdi with a 87 cdi box and i have the same issue. the kid said it ran but then he changed the ignition to a rpm and now has this problem. i checked clearance and its good. obv cause im gettin juice all the way to the cdi. any help would be great thats. also i read that you cant crank it by hand? is that true? thanks

could both cdi possibly be bad?

it could also be your one of your connectors or your harness, also make sure the black/white stripe wire, doesnt have continuity to ground, the only time the black /white stripe wire should be grounded is when the kill switch is on
