I have a durablue axle for my 250r, I was wondering if the splines were the same for all 250r's and aftermarket. Also do 400ex hubs work too? Just trying to save money, the only ones I can find are about $100 and new off ebay.

Yes, aftermarket should be the same as OEM. 400EX hubs will work, ONLY if you run the 400EX model. I have a couple sets of rear hubs if you're looking.

Dont know about the sprocket hub on a Durabreak, but a Lonestar, the axle splines are just a hair machined different from the stock OEM 250R axle.

The OEM 250R sprocket hub, the splines cut inside them are thinner, pointed like, where as the splines on the Lonestar axle are wider & will end up trashing both pieces trying to press it on. Same count splines, just machined different.

destey, I was referring to the hubs only. My bad. I think Neil has you covered.

Durablue sprocket splines way different than stock. All other hubs- brake and wheel will fit.

I think he was referring to wheel hub and sprocket hub splines. Rear hubs from a 250R will not work on a 400EX axle, vice versa. You can run a 400EX axle AND 400EX hubs, or go the 250R route.

Sorry for the confusion, looking for just the sprocket hub to go on my durablue axle. Sounds like I have to go with durablue sprocket hub. Thanks for the info guys!

Destey,

I dont know if, the Durablue sprocket hub from a 450R axle is machined the same as a 250R one, but I've got a broke 450 axle you can have the hub off of if it will work.

I've got another sprocket hub laying at the shop off an axle, but dont know what it goes to.
Looks like the 400EX~450R hub, I've not checked it close though to see what it is.

Maybe someone will chime in knows.

Looks like I was wrong about what kind of axle I have. I think its a lonestar, but the splines look different than the newer lonestar axles. Anyone know if lonestar used different spline counts over the years?
