My '06 450's been sittin for about a year. Battery went bad so since I haven't ordered a new one yet and wanted to make sure she ran decent I tried jumpin it off a lawn mower. It was barely cranking over so I tried the battery from another lawn mower.... same thing. It took my buddies truck to get it to fire up. Anyone know what could be causing this?
Check your decompression to make sure it's within spec. If the tolerance is too loose, it won't allow enough pressure out of the cylinder when cranking.

Have you every adjusted the valves?

Battery, starter clutch or starter gear.. All 3 could be a issue.. If you put a new battery in and it still does it check the next 2 out, as they are notorious for breaking

Redoing the valves as we speak. Tolerance on the decomp mech is fine. If shimmin the valves doesn't fix it,.... starter time.
