Does it feel more "positive" when you shift...like it engages better? Thats what they were made for I belive.. I've not heard anything bad about them and the couple of guys around the forums that have fitted them all say it feels better..

I am not looking to feel any difference. Just looking to stop the dawgs on the gears wearing and the bike jumping out of gear

Just had my tranny redone with back-cut and cryo. I put the GTT spring at the same time. It does shift better than before, but still not as nice as a 250R or CRF.

The dogs were wearing down and round the edges over.

That's what my gears always do as well. Must be through 4 gearboxes now.

Went through the whole bottom end a few weeks ago. Treated and cut the gears and GTT spring. Rode 2 days and lost 3rd gear. Hope to find out tonight what happened.

I hear people say that the CRF tranny is weaker than the TRX, I call BS. I NEVER had a tranny issue with my CRF hybrid.

i have lots of friends with crf hybrid quads. never seen one getting a tranny yet. people say the 05 trx tranny is great but i know plenty of them had to be changed as well. hopefully this spring will sort mine out, parts for hondas are expensive over here in ireland.

Spring is a gimmick! Gears are soft from the factory and will wear fast!
The gears last about 1/2 season if lucky! Changing oil every 2 hours helps and so does using the clutch!

gncc pro brian wolf tested the gt thunder shift spring last season with a regular clutch and a rekluse, his tranny's lasted longer with the spring, i talked to laz about this matter, but yes i do agree the gears are soft, the intention of the spring is to keep the bike from down shifting itself
