Has anyone ever put in a sandpoint well on their property? If so, did you have any difficulties with it?

I'm thinking of putting one in on my property next summer and was wondering if anyone can offer any advice on what materials I should use or shouldn't use. I shouldn't have to go any more than 25 feet down.

You drill a hole in the ground down to the water table, then put a "sandpoint" (http://www.plumbinghelp.ca/images/Sandpoint%20well%20head.JPG basically a pipe that has a filter in the inside to filter out debris and take water from the ground) down into the hole with piping going from it to the top of the ground. Run it through a water pump and then into your house. BAM! You got free water, and it tastes better then city water imo.
