wondering if a 05 trx carb will work on a 05 crf motor?

It will work, but it is a butterfly style carb, so you will not see nearly the performance as you will with an FCR such as 06-up trx450r or crf. I would highly recommend an fcr carb over any other options.

that would be a major down grade , save your money and look for a good FCR off a CRF450
