I WENT TO MY LOCAL POLARIS DEALER yesterday and checked out the predator and i absolutly loved it. IT is well built and i told him that i like it but in order for me to buy one i have to test ride it first. HE said when the snow is gone i can take it for a spin. If i like it im gonna buy one if not im gonna try a z 400 out and see if that is as nice a machine as they say it is. I love my ex but i cant wait any longer for honda.

why not just take the $5,000+ you would spend on a predator and sink it into your 400EX?

that would be the best way to go...send your 400 to profab they will give you awesome power for a 1000$ job...then buy custom axis theres 2 grand...you got 2 grand left...buy a-arms and an axled another grand...then whatever you want...you woud have a n awesome quad...my uncle has a Z and everything is fine exept for the power band...(my opinion) i would rather have my 400...and 416 kit with profab will smoke Z's ive raced them...have fun with whatever you do:)

yeah say that you should go with sinking the 5 k + into your bike you could have elka's for about 1500 allaround, duncan natinal 440 kit for about 2500 or a 416 or something like that for about 1000 (all work done) and then have about 2000 for a-arm, etc :D but whatever you prefre go for that :D

Well my guess is Hunda400ex his probably going to sell is 400ex to afford this new quad. If you do have another 5 grand lying around, put it into your 400ex.

yesterday i also looked at a predator. i have to tell you that i was not impressed by the overall fit and finish of the quad. the welds were really splattery, oil lines rubbing on the frame, decals crooked, plastic misaligned, etc, etc. they might be fast, and handle well, but i wouldnt be selling my honda for one i dont think. that is your choice though. i just wanted to let you know my opinion from an obsessive perfectionists standpoint. if it aint perfect, i aint happy!!!

The predator is still new... Id wait until it has been out longer to make sure there isnt anything wrong with them... also Ive always been wary of a Polaris... Z/KFX400s are great.. why not check those out? I heard they handled awesome and ive seen them in action... very nice... the only thing quad that would get me away from a Honda is a KFX400... I just love those.. haha.. other than that... Im a honda rider for life! I couldnt see myself on anything else (w/ an exception of the KFX400) ;)
