Shortening a stock pipe

Anyone ever done it? If so, how? When I had my Cannondale I shortened the factory toaster and figured i'd give this thing a shot since i'm bored as fudge.....

You need to take it all apart, cut the canister on a table saw then cut the core to the same length, put back together and repack accordingly. Tap holes for the screws and badabingbadaboom.

there is no core in the stock silencer it has baffles. all you need too do is hack that thing in half on the chop saw cut out the desired length and weld back together. I did mine a long time ago and knocked out the baffles. It kinda sounded like what I would imagine a coffee can being used as a silencer would so it didn't last beyond one ride.
