Decided to polish up part of the shock linkage aswell.. I am torn between a chrome swing arm or black.. I am thinking black because I will have the chrome axle, alot of polished stuff such as this, the brake stay.. I know you can only see a little bit of it when on the bike but..Hows it look?

I also have the same question. How did you do that? I tried polishing mine with a set of sanding discs on a pneumatic air sander and then a 2 stage buffing compound and a buffer and it doesn't look anything close to what yours does.

Thanks

I used good ole 180 sand paper followed by some 220, then hit it good on the buffing wheel.. You need to get the parts hot on the wheel They need to look shiny even before you start to buff..

Slapped it on the bike today.. I really do not know if a chrome swing arm or black one will look better?

I vote black, it will be a nice offset and really give the shine factor

If you want your polishing to stand out, go with black. It'll just get lost in the chrome, unless you want that look. Also if you did chrome, it would probably make your polishing look like its fading faster than it will just because the chrome doesn't. Personally, I like having a third color for my swingarms, hubs, and accent pieces.

I vote black also. I have that color combo on my swinger. I'll take a couple pics of mine, it's not on the bike, but I can snap a couple pics of it on the work bench.

I have to agree, black will really set it off.
