Where can i get a stock rear skid plate for my 2005 400ex? I recently had a stick fly up and get wedged into my chain and it was a pain getting it out.

I looked on ebay but couldn't find a stock skid plate, i just found metal ones and i heard that the metal ones make a noise if they loose a rubber chain guide or something?

Any ideas/help?

Here's one on Motosport: http://www.motosport.com/atv/oem-parts/HONDA/2005/TRX400EX/SWINGARM
That's number 38 and costs $47. I wouldn't recommend getting one though because they are cheap plastic junk. I'd get a Pro-Armor, they are thick and hold up well to punishment. They're $135 though. They also have a polyurethane chain slider riveted to the skid, so your chain doesn't slap and get annoying. Here it is:

Got an Armadillo aluminum skid, it's 1/4" thick. I beat the hell out of it and it is still good.. I think it was about 80

Well i didnt even want to spend 50 bucks on one because I'm perfectly fine running with no skid plate in the rear. I just don't want to spend that much but i needed some protection on the rear.

But thanks for the replies. I'll have to look around on ebay and on here.

I've heard good things about polyetheline skid plates. Although the only place I could find them didn't say if it was a full body skid plate or just a swinger skidplate and if it would allow nerf bars.
