Cam question

How do you tell what cam you have weather it is stock or aftermarket. I was told it was a stage 2 hotcam but I don't know how to tell if it is or not.

No way really, unless you pop the cover, get a number off of it.. Race a stock 400.. If you smash it, it prob is.. Some would say listen for the tick but I have heard stock EX's tap as loud as my stgIII does..

I've got the came out of the motor right now but still not sure what it is. Are there certain markings that tell what it is?

Hotcam on the left, stock cam on the right in the pic.

If its a hotcam it will have "hotcam" labeled on it

also as shown above, theres no decompression mechanism present on a hotcam or other aftermarket cam.
