400ex carb question

I just go my 400ex back together, and now if the quad isn't running there is gas running out of the bottom vent tube. What could be wrong. I pulled off the bottom of the carb and the float seems to be fine. The only thing that I did was change to a 40 pilot and I am running a 172 main.

The lil pin may have come out of your float take it back apart and double check the float real good.And you did get the jet good and tight right?

Only thing i can think of is the float, or loose jets.

The needle/seat assy is leaking, take it apart and clean both and inspect for wear or damage to the sealing sufaces. You may have dirt or some other substance stuck in there.

did u turn on any screws. If ya did, there is a screw that will empty the carb, and it will do what u r talking about. Just check that also

your floats are getting stuck when your bowl is on. Make sure there is nothing in the way of them and they are free moving.

Found the prob. There was a peice of grass in the needle valve. Thanks for the replies.
