anybody have an experience with the aftermarket radiators from ebay? seems to be a few around 100-150 bux, much better price than 350 for a floudyne or something, and a little cheaper than oem.

Just wondered if they were junk or any good? My stocker is bent up bad looking to replace it.

Just got one of those CalTex radiators in today. Really nice unit. The hand fab welded tanks are far superior than the factory epoxy pressed ones. I damn sure wouldnt pay $439 for those Fluidyne radiators when you can get this one for this price.

I purchased one of those ASI ones for one of my Yfz's.. it was oversize and cheap, it didnt last a season, it started to separate at the seams. So just expect that to happen. Keep an eye on it.

If you ride like me, at the end of every season you need a new rad because your knee's have destroyed yet another one haha, i used to just keep picking upi cheap stock ones whenever i found them, but i would give that first one a shot and see how it works!

mine get bent in after 2 rides usually, ive bent into the 5th row of fins without any leaks or problems. If you want to strengthen your radiator, send it out and have it welded and they can brace it. Its a common mod on dirtbike rads, check ICW radiator.

I know a lot of racers get a 1/4 thick strip of aluminum welded on the outsides of the rad to stregthen it up. Sounds like a good idea. Ive been wanting to try it.

i got one of the caltex radiators and am very dissapointed with it. it doesnt fit worth sh*t. the top bolt holes are about 1/2 inch too low and the filler neck hits the frame without a cap on it. needless to say it is getting shipped right back to them.

HMMMM I thought the 05 fans couldnt mount on a 06+ rad ?

Id like to try them but if they dont fit at all i'll pass..
