lost spark

Hi folks, I'm looking for help. I'm new to the minis and one of the ones I got lost spark last night. it's an 06 50 all stock components. I found info on the coil resistance and standard is 6.61 kohms + or- 20%. My coil shows 13.21 kohms. Would this amount of difference proof the coil is bad causing the lost spark?

If you have to hold the brake in to start it, try disconnecting that switch and see if that helps. They tend to go and you will not get spark.................Jeff

also the stock teather will go out.unplug it and plug the 2 wires together.
