Does anyone know the pressure on the front brake lines. How much pressure does the master cylinder put out? Thanks.

I go to school at New Jersey Institute of Technology..NJIT...where i am a member of SAE. Society of automotive engineers and we are going to compete in a mini baja competition in ohio in June. Basically we have to build a big go-kart from scratch, it's designed in a computer program Pro engineer, the reason for my question is because we are using 300ex front brake calipers and in order for the calipers to work correctly the master cylinder must put out the same pressure the calipers can handle or else we'll be stopping real fast or not at all. We are on a limited budget and we already have a master cylinder and we have to make sure the pressures are the same. I hope that makes sense. I'm gonna call honda on mon. and see if they can help me out

Yeah that makes perfect sense. You should definatly take some pictures of that when you are done with it. I would like to see how it turns out. Good Luck

i dont know about a 300ex, but an automotive system is usually around 2000-3000psi, i would imagine a quad to be around 500 psi or more, i could be wrong.
