Did they take the spring and ball out. HotCam don't use the decompression mechanism. The stock cam does but HotCam don't.

i know it hasn't ran since putting the hot cam in, it still has fresh cam lube on it. only other thing i can think of is the vavles are not set or one might be bent? hopefully its nothing big...

It should start. Does it even try to start? Have you tried pull starting it?

I was reading your mods. Have you tried putting the air box lid back on?

honestly i just got this wheeler last week havent really had time to mess with it a lot cause of work, do you think it would be a god idea all i know about it is what the guy told me its been rebuilt cant remember where, head work he said he ran it on 93 with octane booster.

if i spray a shot of starting fluid in the carb and try to turn it over it just barks but wont start.

Do a compression check and see how much psi it has. That will tell you if you have a bent valve or if there is a problem with the rings. There has been people on here that couldn't get one start with the starter but pulled it off and it ran. Putting the air box lid back on will richen it up if its running lean. Maybe some other will chime in and offer idea's.

Check your valve clearnce if the valve clearnce is to tight it will leak bye the valves.....A valve that is to tight will leak compression by not allowing it to run....just my 2 cent.....

will do im kinda thinking that is what it has to be if anyone has anymore input would be very much appreciated.

ok so i found out what it was i took it to a friend of mine who runs his own shop he took it apart and found a bent valve whoever put the hot cam in didn't make sure the valves where set properly and bent one thank you all for your input now its time to get this thing running right....just another question to get the most out of my engine should i run 93 oct. with booster or just run 110?

I run 50%110 leaded and 50%50% super unleaded w/o ethanol.

It will kill the piston and engine unless you run 100 octane period. octane booster is junk as well btw.

you can mix if you want to try that, Id say 60/40 100/93. High compression like that in an aircooled motor means it gets VERY hot very easy and will ping like nuts.

ive heard a lot of ppl that do 50/50 mix probably try it out.

I'm running a 13:1 compression JE piston as well, I would just run 110 in it, its expensive but worth the money IMO...I've had the best luck with 110..
