just make sure it doesnt get mud packed in it because it will block near all air flow.

I thought people wanted more air to go to it, not block it?

Heres a template I made, yeah i want air going to it but I want it guarded to, this past weekend there was a big stick in there and was right up against my cooler, so i want a guard there for when I race nothin will hurt it, it will be more open cause im taking my headlight out so i dont bust it during a race

If I did I would cut it a lot straighter, and use thicker metal

not to bust ur bubble but what is the point?

i know the first picture you showed has a point to it, there is actually a oil cooler in behind it which it protects

all urs is doing is blocking more air from reaching your cooler which is tucked up underneath and behind your front plastic/headlight

good idea/thinking but useless unless you have a secondary cooler

Lookin really good man but make some spares cuz the first stick to kiss that looks like its gonna go through it.

This past weekend I was riding and a stick stuck into my cooler and bent it in, in march im racing XC so im taking my headlight off which makes that a lot more open so I wanted a guard to block stuff from hitting the cooler and chrome stem, its good enough for now to block stuff from hitting it but yeah its pretty thin so ill make a thicker one before march probably then ill post it, it really dont block much air because of all the holes in it

Alot of people do this on liquid cooled XC bikes to minimize mud build up in the radiator.

clamp a block of wood underneath the sheet of metal when you drill and you won't get that pushed through look. looks good otherwise.

Yeah this one is kinda like a prototype cause the next one will be thicker and cut better, so ill get some metal and fab one up sometime pretty quick and ill post a pic of it
