Frame powder protector? Ideas?

Looking to protect the powdercoating from boots on frame? Any good looking ideas that work?

some kind of clear grip tape would be my guess.

Maier makes a plastic piece that zipties to the frame, and Dirtworks make a metal piece that you have to drill holes for.

I used grip tape from a skateboard. You can get sheets of it in a bunch of different colors.

You could even get a rattle can of clear coat and do a few more coats of clear on the high wear areas?
