AMA Supercross New sound rules. 115 db

I read that Supercross this year is having a sound requirement of 115db before the race and 116db afterwards. and alos 80 riders are allowed to qualify.

Holy crap that seems loud. Wasnt the atv nationals 98 or 96 dbs a few years ago? (probably still is i just remember from when i used to do nationals it was under 100)

I think atvs were even quieter than that for pros. and yea its insane how loud that would be. ill see if i can find the link

I didn't read into the details on the procedure but that has got to be a different way of testing than what it usually is. 115 db's sounds closer to what they are full throttle under load. That is LOUD.
