Going to purchase a PRM bumper and swingarm skidplate. They reccomend getting the chain guide with the skidplate, is it really necessary to get it? Will the chain make noise or rub somehow? Any ideas...

my chain rubs my skid and is pretty anoying at times but i wouldnt buy a chain guide, just cut a piece of about 1/2 inch thick plastic and stick it on there.

Idk how much chain guides are though.

100% must do: Nope

Good to have one: Sure is.

If you dont mind the noise then dont mess with it, usually when your trail riding you cant hear the chain hitting it though because the chain has tension on it, but just putting around in the yard it will get annoying

TM Design makes a guide you bolt on the skid. They are 29.00 or so and they are a great product. You can run your chain alittle looser and not worry about it coming off.

I went with the TM designs chain guide, didn't want the noise and figured only pay one shipping cost. Should have them by next weekend:D
