Motor is running great!

Well got to the dirt drag strip finally. Ran a best of 6.5 at 45 mph in 300'. Ran several runs against a 440ex and beat him every time. Ran a ltz440 several times and beat him several times but not everytime. Also ran many 450s, stock and modified, and I one some, lost some. I am very happy with the motor. This was all with a 185 main jet btw

I missed new years weekend at DFA but hopefully they raised the money to stay open and Ill be back there as soon as the builds over!

6.5 is good for a mild built motor, I ran 5.6 with paddles and my mods. You could of probaly run a 6.0 or better if you had paddle tires, or did you?

My 426 went 5.0 with 12 pat hualers.......Me or johndoe can help you with the drag racing if you like.

ill help you any way i can.....good to see more people getting in to drag racing no mater if its on drit or 1/8 mile.......

We are going to see if we can be the first to get a 400ex in to the 6.'s in the 1/8 mile this year.... as long as every thing goes good..

what gearing you yall run for the 1/8th mile?

depends on tire size, I ran 13/39 with 22in duro scorchers and a stock swingarm sliding the clutch on take off.

so that's about stock gearing on 20's. Hmm, I thought I'd run out of gear before the 1/8th. I might have to go give it a try, not sure how it will act though will stock tires on the track...

where in central FL are you gonna run the 1/8th?

some tracks make you go through tech and some require you to have alot of stuff, some techs just let you ride.

Just make sure you check before you show up and try to race.

13/39 ? that mite be why you ran 8.80's

On my 426 we run 16/34 and on my 440 we run 16/32 and yes i said 32 had it made...426 ran 8.24

On motor 440 went 8.32 on motor. The 440 has been 7.25 on the juice.

We have not sprayd the 426 yet but we are going to.....

And thats with no wheelie bar....lol

I use to run my truck at lakeland motorsports park 1/8th all the time, and I've seen at least 1 quad run there. They are not very picky about what you run out there...

I really needed 12 padds, I spun the whole way down the 300 at DFA. still ran a 5.6 :cool:

Believe me, I tryd many a sproket combo, 20s or 18s with 16/36 or even 16/39 ran 9s but I was always wheeling of the line.

I never made a 8th mile run on my extended swinger, I woulda beat or atleast made your time for sure :cool:

And you have more mods, I still didnt have a port or hi comp.

We will race one day dont you worry about that:blah:

I just found out my steering stem is bent, if you make me one ill paypal you for it before you ship it?

my 426 is 11.0.1 stock valves ported by me.... so you have the better mod mr.kw lol
i have a stock steam if you like or i can build you one out of chrome moly....
