- 2006 Kawasaki KX85 engine, tuned for low-mid power
- 127lbs dry
- 17" ground clearance
- fuel cap. 1.4 gal

That will be scrap in no time. The fraim and wheels will never hold up.

The fraim and wheels will never hold up. if he used actual name brand good parts, think again. mountain bike frames are very well made and take just as much abuse as an kids dirtbike would. you can get double wall, triple wall rims. if he used cheap parts then yeah your right

it's like putting wheels on a chair...just buy a wheel chair lol. i don't see the point. just buy a dirtbike. probably a lot cheaper.

i guess it would fun for about 10 minutes but i wouldn't have a use for it. what would you guys use it for that you couldn't use a dirtbike or a mtn bike for?

i wonder how the rear tire would hold up since it's not meant for that torque. same with the brakes. i bet it is a wheelie machine though lol.

I work at a bike shop here in MN where Mountain bikes are the shop's specialty. We can fit brake systems that can hold up to a 125cc dirtbike if needed. Nobody just happens to do it. Mountain bike rotors and pads are far ahead of the motorsports world and believe it or not the rims, shocks, spokes, and many other items from mountain bikes actually decide the future development of kid's powersports. I know this by talking to cane creek who works with Ohlins, Fox, and hayes, and many more.

That thing would be SICK in tight trails and single track. talk about light weight. too bad it doesnt look super jump-able :ermm:
