Bought 05 650 Rincon new. Am a mechanic and anal so took very good care of it. At about 4000 miles one of the shift valve solenoids failed. Replaced and all seemed well until i hit the mountain. It appeared to fail again right away. Got it home and pulled solenoid. It appears to be fine. It ohms out good and when i put power to it, it appears to work. But according to the shop manual the same valve has failed! I cant afford the dealer! Plus i dont think the dealer will be able to find the problem in a reasonable amount of time. I have talked to 5 different dealers and they appear to be clueless as to what is going on with this thing. I also checked the voltage, among other things, and it is normal. The computer is supposed to tell me if there is a prob. but does not show anything wrong. What the heck is wrong? Dont know how to troubleshoot the TCU or ECU.
