I'm selling two (2) front sprocket shafts that I modified to stop the slipper sprocket from loosening. It's MY opinion that the reason the slipper sprocket continually needs torqued and re-torqued is because the right hand thread of the large bolt that holds the sprocket on and tight. My theory is that every time they land with the gas on it jerks and spins the sprocket counter-clockwise and the compression washer is little by little loosening the big nut.
SO, with that being said, I had a machine shop put left hand threads on the sprocket shaft. So, now when they land on the gas the sprocket will still go counter-clockwise BUT will NOT loosen the bolt. If anything, as the pads wear the bolt MAY tighten BUT I doubt that there is enough pressure to really tighten the bolt much more than what we torque the nut to. But for sure the slipping sprocket will not loosen the nut with the threads being left handed.
I had two of these made and never got a chance to use them because we went with the expensive slipper clutch deal.
One is the shaft only, you'll need to press your tranny gear off your current shaft and put on this shaft OR buy a gear for it. I'd like to get $45.00 plus shipping. SOLD
The other had a gear welded to it BUT after doing the work (used an old set) I found that one of the teeth on the gear was bad. So, if I cut and press the bad gear off I want the same $45.00 if you wanna do it, I want $35.00 plus shipping. Both come with the machined nut (flanged and milled to fit in the hole of the stock compression washer)
PM me if interested.
