has anyone ever put diffrent plastics on the R such as 450 ect ?
only asking as they are a bloody fortune to get shipped over here

I have one with older 400ex plastic on it. I didn't install it, the fab looks to be fairly basic. Doesn't look as good as R plastic imo.

v sceen some with the 99-04 trx400ex plastics but the r plastics still look better even if your stuck with maier

I've also seen pictures of 450r plastics and even one with YFZ plastics.

But, IMHO, 250r plastics are the best looking hands down

Its been done, I wouldn't recommend it, but I understand you're issues with getting aftermarket plastic... last I check for shipping some OEM plastic from England to U.S. was almost 300USD....

I hear there is quite a bit of work required. Here's a pic, I figured it would take me longer to search the old threads than repost this pics. :D
