Such a tragic loss of a young life.

Mark's funeral will be held on Monday 9th January at the church of St Augustine in his home town of Alston, Cumbria (UK).

Tributes are being left on Mark's FaceBook page.

St Augustine’s was packed to capacity for Mark’s funeral. His family and closest friends followed the coffin in to the music of Video Games by Lana Del Rey, chosen by his girlfriend. I don’t believe there was a dry eye in the house. Tributes from Mark’s girlfriend and his best friend were read out and when the service was over, we all filed out into the church grounds past one of Mark’s race bikes, immaculately presented, stood by the door, an emotional sight.

The short walk to Alston House took us down the cobbled hill from the church to the junction where Mark tragically lost his life, the frontage now adorned with flowers, another emotional moment.

Mourners had travelled from far and wide to pay their respects, from both side-car and quad racing fraternities, such was Mark’s popularity.

A sad day for all!
