installing hetrick genIII pipe

Installing a new hetrick gen III pipe on a 2008 apex 50cc quad. But the pipe is hitting 1 of the 2 small tabs on the frame. The tabs are where the neff bars front would be the frame pipe that goes across. My question is I would have to cut the right side tab off for the pipe fit right. the tab isnt holding anything. Has anyone done this?

On our 2011 apex 50 we cut off the tabs to clear a diffrent pipe and did not have any frame issues.
Aftermarket engine mount that raises the engine up might also be a solution, not sure did not go that route.

Those tabs are for lower motor mounts but most people don't use one. We had to cut one off too to get a Mach 1 pipe on the quad, just cut it off...........Jeff

thanks for the reply. i talked to hetrick this morning and he said the same thing..
