Ok, now on to my 87 LT80.
When I got it, it did not like going over half throttle. Figured the carb needed cleaning. SO i Soaked the carb for 2 days, put a fresh rebuild kit in the carb, 2 stage reed kit, cleaned the carbon out of my pipe and reassembled. Just went to take it for a test ride, still is slow to take off, and does not like over half throttle. Compression test came in at 50psi both dry and wet. Am i looking at needing a rebuild?

Upon further inspection, I found the reason for my low psi. Whomever did last rebuild on this engine put the piston in backwards. They put the arrow facing forwards instead of towards the exhaust port like we are supposed to. The lower rings end caught the exhaust port, bent slightly and scored a .5mm gouge into my cylinder. No wonder I got it so cheep. Well New jug and piston on its way, hoping it is ready for desert on New years to break it in properly.
