I was read the one thread and see how shiney you got all the parts on your 400ex. Can anyone tell me how to do that to mine? And whats they best why to get scratches out?

Well...it all depends...if its bare then you just polish if it doesn't have and scratches if it does go 00 steel wool then 0 and then polish...for stuff with paint i use paint remover...i hate sanding..which i still have 2 do alot..thats basically how i do it...i think i'm pretty good at it. i polish stuff for people btw let me know if your intrested.

if it has paint....paint stripper or sanblasting will work...then if sand blasted...go to 80 grit paper..then to 400....then #0 steel wool....and if you have availible any finer stuff (#00,#000)use...it will get even more scratches out...then apply mothers to a rag...if you ahve use a dremel..this was done with with that process alonf with a dremel

You guys are nuts. I start with 400 on just about everything. Just use a lil more elbow greese. Then you don't have to worry about any gouges. They aren't fun....

I usually start at 220 unless there are very deep scratches in the parts.
