I think they would look much better in a gunmetal color type silver or straight up gloss black. The other car works well with them b/c the paint appears to be pearlescent..your car doesnt look good with blue or purple Im sorry to say.

Its hard to knock gloss black wheels with a red car..

Yeah, I like a medium gray wheel with a polished lip. Colored rims are more for old school hot rods and customs in my mind. But, it is YOUR car so I guess its whatever YOU like that counts.
Know a guy who had black rims on a very PINK crx. Wheels didn't look bad, but the paint was hilarious.

i'm guessing your going to spray paint them? before sanding them spray them a few colors and see what you like best and then scuff'em up and spray them so it really sticks.

thanks exrider i agree butthey are my buddys they are "HX" rims they are really enkei's, honda and enkei came together to make that rim the only other rim lighter then that is the rims off of a honda insight

What are you guys doing to keep them from snapping half shafts? Cyro treating? Chromoly?

The purple looks terrible. The black wheels look good and I think silver would too.

I don't like the "import" "tuner" "ricer" thing whatever you call it but I am looking into buying a 95ish civic or an integra to use as a daily driver. Not going to do much to it. Maybe a mild exhaust, some different wheels, and of course I'm build some projector headlights for it like my truck and it would have to have a nice stereo :macho

I just want a clean looking and reliable car that gets 30+ MPG and doesn't cost a lot.

@cmj idk how chris miller or merman racing dosnt break axels all the time i know i do but you get a life time warranty where ever you get them lol so its like 120 for both one time until they figure out you break them all the time lol.

Keep it sleeper status. Clean paint and a nice black wheel would look good. IMO clean cars always look better. There are guys running around here with fluorescent pink and yellow wheels know. Why, I have no idea. Kinda reminds me of the ghetto nike shoes.

I hear ya I bought a new kia rio5 for the hour drive to work and back.. it gets 50mpg on the highway and you can zig and zag in and out of traffic better then my ram. but on the weekends I like to feel like a man again:macho

It's all in the driving believe it or not. With proper preloading you can get little to no wheel hop which is usually what breaks axles. There are people who run stock axles on 600whp Hondas without breaking them and people that manage to snap them with 200whp cars.

A friend of mine has a crx, he bought it in rough shape for like 300 bucks and has it back to stock now with just black wheels and an intake, it gets AMAZING mileage. When we were younger he put an exhaust i think called "Skunk 2" or something. SO loud and farty, I couldnt stand being in the car with him. Then he grew up and took it off :cool:

I want an s2k but I can't afford the insurance so I'm opting for an Integra Type R. My search is done for a few months though cause I don't plan on driving the car in snow/salt.

But if money wasn't an option I'd have an EVO 9 sitting in my garage right now haha.

I came really close to buying the newer 4 door SI but decided I really didn't want to make payments. I test drove a few and they're really nice cars love the close ratio trans its basically an ITR trans with an overdrive but they're kind pretty slow haha
