Can anybody suggest a program to convert MP4 to a format that I can burn to DVD?

Nero, the full nero suite has a program in it called nero vision that can write just about any format to a playable dvd.

You should be able to burn it to a disc but if not the simplest way and free way is to download a file converter, if you google free file converter lots will come up, their is on made by windows thats what i use, it will be a free trial for 14 days no credit card needed, its very simple and easy to use and quick and you can convert any file to just about any file you want. Hope this helps.

I figured I could burn it to a disk, but I've read where most DVD players won't read MP4 format.

Every movie file I have ever came across nero could make into a playable dvd Dustin. Windows would just burn the file and as you said-no way to know if the player would read it properly.

I never used anything else b/c for me I got nero for free, Im sure there are other free programs. Virtual dub might be able to convert it and its free (takes a LONG time to convert tho 1-2 hours).

I've got about 28, 30-minute videos I'm wanting to convert. Once I get those on DVD I doubt I'll ever need the program again, so a free one would be nice. I'll check out Nero and Virtual Dub. Thanks!

Does it matter what codec I use when converting?
