I've had this motor on my hands a little over a year now. Haven't ridden on it much... needless to say why. I can't believe someone thought this wouldn't leak!

Ive seen worse! But JB weld and other epoxys can be a life saver when you dont have the money to do it right. Sometimes you have to deal with a little seepage.

I have a polished set of cases. Mine is cracked around the oil drain plug. It can be fixed. The other is near perfect. No bolt hole damage. Not even signs where the chain has come off

I don't know if jb weld(or similar putty) will fix that. I threw a chain and knicked the case, putty fixed that, but it was a small repair.

ESR seems to have cases forsale on the website. This could be a good alternative to buying over priced Cases on Ebay. You are getting a new item, new product that will be supported against defects.

thanks for the tip but that seems to be much more than I want to pay. I actually bought cases from a member on here already.

Np, If you can get a good set of cases for under 200 that is the way to go. I have seen a lot of cases go for much more than 200 and in bad shape. Those guys have a lot of sales right now throughout their line and its hard to buy used parts that are only a little cheaper. I saw on ebay a 310 powervalve cylinder with the old style valve bored twice for 800 BIN, that cylinder and piston with the new PV is 700 as a bolt on ready to go!

I need a clutch basket and everyone seems to be selling them for expensive and they are worn out like mine is : ( I am not paying 60 bucks for something with Grooves in it! lol

It may not be pretty but those pic don't look lke JB weld. JB would be gray and the pics look to be aluminum welded. Not to bad IMO. Could be a lot worse, it it doesn't leak run it.

It was aluminum weld, but it is pretty poorly done. Leaked like sieve. I have split them and it looks worse on the inside
