2012 450R Rebuild

Well its that time of year again and I have started my yearly rebuild. Towards the end of the season I blew up my motor and had to run a spare motor for the remainder of the season. So the first thing I did was rebuild my motor. The rod bearing went in it, so I needed to replace the crank. Now that my motor is done I have started on everything else. I stripped it down and sandblasted all of the parts i wanted to repaint. I know everybody says to powdercoat, but i painted last year and it seemed to hold up fine. Last year I used spray cans, but this year I used a spray gun. So i was able to mix up my own paint and added a good amount of hardener to the paint. The outcome is great it is very glossy and thick.

-Trail Tech Lightened Flywheel
-Hotcams Stage 2 Cam
-Moose Racing Gaskets and Seals

Not Really a rebuild on the quad just repainting and new bearings and seals.
Some new parts will be ordered and put on like a full system exhaust, flexx bars, new plastics, new graphics, and a few extras.

wished i woulda mixed hardner with my paint its still soft like after a month i mean its dry and cured but i messed up and wacked it with a hammer and it peeled off. may use some spray can clear coat on it.

Yea the harder looks great it made it a lot glossier and it looks a lot thicker.

Well today i finally got my a-arm bearings and seals all in and have them hanging on the quad now.. I also finished up the wiring.. Ill have pics up sometime tomorrow.

Love it. The colors go perfectly. Just do one thing. Paint the valve cover. Its killing the whole bike
