I'm going to rebuild my front and rear shocks, Font shocks are works piggy back, and rear is stock, there are two things that I'm wondering about, what are the benifits of using eather synthetic or petroleum oils, also what is a good oil weight and pressure to set the shock at.

Marty is the man to ask about that....he uses different weight oil for different applications. He mostly uses Race Tech oil. I would ask him but he's in the back asleep!

I use torco fluid in all shocks it is one of the best fluids out there. use a light weight fluid in the front shocks and a medium in the rear. Shock fluid is not like fork fluid and can not be rated in weights even though you see it labeled like that it is just to put a number on it not that the number really means anything.:) The front shocks should be set at 250 psi of nitrogen.

i use 2.5w silkolene for the fronts and 5w silkolene for the rear. Thats what Axis recommended if i didnt use there stuff.

QuadMX18 with 150psi, are your shocks real soft, what kind of riding do you do,

The shocks are not soft at all. They are set up for +2 a arms for a 230lb rider in gear that rides B MX and they dont feel soft. I did not set these shocks up though. The man at PEP named wayne did. You could call them and they would be happy to answer any questions. 1-909-590-4111
